PJ Harvey is one of the most talented alternative musicians around and the world definitely took notice when she took a break from the electric guitar and used the piano instead, for her last solo album ‘White Chalk’. Most Harvey fans have been excited about her collaboration with John Parish for their next album; ‘A Woman a Man Walked By’. Their last collaborative album ‘Dancehall on the Louse Point’ was a classical album, which even broke the pre-supposed notions about alternative music.
This time around, ‘A Woman a Man Walked By’ suggests a return to the bluesy alternative rock complimented by the dark imagery that Harvey is so good at creating. ‘Cracks in the Canvas’, ‘Black Hearted Love’, ‘Passionless, Pointless’ seem to suggest a melancholic mood for the new album.
Polly Jean Harvey and John Parish have also confirmed a second show in the city of lights, Paris. The show will be held on the 18th of May at Le Bataclan and the tickets are available at 45 Euros each.
